Several places in Kadapa district witnessed untimely rains coupled with thunders and lightning strikes on Saturday evening.
Kadapa: Several places in Kadapa district witnessed untimely rains coupled with thunders and lightning strikes on Saturday evening. However, there were no deaths reported so far.
According to the prediction of MET department lightning strikes may occur in 31 mandals like Badvel, Kadapa, Nandaluru, Rajampet, Porumamilla, Rayachoti, Galiveedu, R.Kodur, Kalasapadu, Chinnamandem, Kasinayina, Sambepalle, T.Sundupalle, Khajipet, Veeraballi, Brahmamgari Matam, Vontimitta, Penagaluru, Valluru, Kamalapuram, Kondapuram, Peddamudium, Yerraguntla, Chapadu, Pullampeta and Obulavari palli in the district in the night.
District Collector CH. Harikiran directed the VROs to stay at their respective destinations as there may be possibility of occurring untoward incidents.
