The senior leader of Kadapa district says he is upset with Naidu losing confidence in him despite his hard work to strengthen party in the district

Kadapa: In a major set back for the TDP ahead of local body elections, party senior leader and former deputy chairman of the party in Legislative Council Singareddy Venkata Satiskumar Reddy quit the party.

In a meeting held with his supporters at his native place Vempalle in Pulivendula constituency, Satish Reddy announced his resignation saying that he was displeased with party high command due to various reasons, including losing the confidence of party chief N Chandrababu Naidu despite striving hard for strengthening the party in the district.

However, he maintained silence over joining YSRCP simply stating that he would take decision after local body elections. "I think it is not correct to continue in TDP as there was no value for hard working leaders. I decide my future after local body elections after discussing with followers and well-wishers," he said. The Hans India predicted his likely exit and possible joining in YSRCP in March 3 issue.

A long-time political rival of Y S Rajasekhar Reddy's family, Satish Kumar Reddy played a key role in strengthening TDP by challenging the supremacy YSR family in Pulivendula constituency for the las two decades. He contested against Rajasekhar Reddy and his son and Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy two times each in the past as TDP nominee.
