Vijayawada: YSRCP Vijayawada Central Assembly constituency candidate and former MLA Malladi Vishnu on Monday announced that he was ready for open debate with sitting MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao on the allegations leveled against him in spurious liquor case, which claimed five lives in Krishna Lanka four years ago.

Addressing media here on Monday, Malladi Vishnu said that the Forensic Lab report clearly stated that he was no way concerned to the death of five persons and the deaths were occurred due to mixing of poison in water by some unknown persons and alleged the police failed to nab the culprits in the case.

Malladi Vishnu alleged the TDP leaders exerted pressure on the police to include his name in the FIR. He said the police did not mention his name in the first report but later included his name in the second FIR.

Vishnu said he was ready for open debate with Bonda Uma at any place and at any time over the issue.

The former MLA expressed serious concern over the rising number of land grabbing cases and added rowdy elements would increase in Central Assembly constituency if Bonda Uma was reelected from the constituency. He appealed to people to defeat the corrupt TDP rule and vote for the YSRCP to get clean and efficient rule in the State.
