The women employees of the SSC Board called on chairperson of AP State Mahila Commission Vasireddy Padma at her residence here on Monday and thanked her for her immediate response on their grievances and solving them.
Mangalagiri: The women employees of the SSC Board called on chairperson of AP State Mahila Commission Vasireddy Padma at her residence here on Monday and thanked her for her immediate response on their grievances and solving them.
It may be recalled that the women employees lodged a complaint with the officials against the additional director of the SSC Board A Subba Reddy that he was harassing them.
Later, government employees JAC also staged protest demonstrations seeking action against the additional director.
After 20 days of the agitation, they lodged a complaint with the police also. When there was no action against him, the women employees approached the Mahila Commission.
Reacting the complaint, Vasireddy Padma appointed a committee to probe into the allegations. Ten days after the committee submitted its report, the additional director was transferred.
The women employees felicitated Vasireddy Padma with a shawl. They said that they have been facing the torture for the last three years and they were relieved after he was transferred.
Vasireddy Padma assured the women employees that the commission would always be there to protect the interests of women.
