Kakinada: A special security and safety meet with representatives of vital installations shopping malls, business houses was conducted at district police office here on Thursday. The meeting was organised as per the directive of AP Director General of Police R P Thakur.
Addressing the meet East Godavari SP Vishal Gunni asked the police officials to step up vigil at the crowded places like railway stations, bus stations, movie theatres, places of worship, busy markets etc. He asked them to rope in metal detectors and CC cameras and other security installations.
The SP asked the public to inform if they suspect movement of strangers in their area or to the WhatsApp number 04049 33233 immediately.
