Vijayawada: Representatives of various Muslim organisations staged a protest in Labbipet on Saturday objecting to the comments made by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan that the Indian Muslims turn to extremism due to the Kashmir issue and abrogation of Article 370.

Muslim Samkshema Samithi State president Mukhtar Ali led the protest and objected to the statement of Imran Khan that over 20 crore Muslims in India would turn to extremism if scenario is not changed in Kashmir.

Ali said Muslims here were living peacefully and serving the nation in all possible aspects, but neighbouring country has been trying to portray Indian Muslims as anti-nationals. He reminded that the people in Pakistan had been facing severe difficulties due to poverty and suggested the Pakistan PM to think of their country and people instead of interfering in the internal affairs of India.

YSR Congress minority leader Sk Subhani made it clear that Kashmir was belonged to India and the Kashmir issue would be resolved by the Indian government. He said Pakistan has no right to interfere in the internal affairs of India. The angry protestors slapped the photo of Imran Khan with chappals raising slogans against him and demanded to stop interfering in the internal affairs of India.
