The Abhay Drop Home Service launched by the Prakasam district police proved to be promising once again on Monday night when four elderly women from a village in remote place dialled ‘100’ and sought help.

According to the details given by the Prakasam district police office, four women Pothireddy Subbamma, Mandadam Subbamma, Vajrala Achamma, Nali Avulakka, natives of the Putchakayalapalle village in Peddaraveedu mandal dialed 100 at around 12.30 AM on Monday night. They informed the control room that they are agriculture workers and are returning to home after working in the Narasarao Pet area. The train they boarded, dropped them in Markapuram station at mid night and they find no conveyance to go to their village and sought help.
Alerted by the control room, the Abhay Vehicle staff reached Markapuram station, get them boarded into the vehicle and dropped them at their homes in the village safely. The family members of the women expressed happiness while the women thanked the superintendent for the introduction of drop home service for the safety and security of women.
