Ongole: Minister for social welfare and Prakasam district in-charge minister Pinipe Viswaroop said that the Rythu Bharosa financial assistance scheme will boost the morale of farmers in the state.
Viswaroop along with his Cabinet colleagues Balineni Srinivasa Reddy and Adimulapu Suresh distributed the cheques under the scheme to the farmers at the Spandana building in Collectorate here on Friday.
Viswaroop said that the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has designed the Rythu Bharosa- PM Kisan Scheme to save the farmers from the crisis.
He said that they were providing a total of Rs 296 crore at Rs 13,500 each to the 3,95,736 farmers' families in the district to help them in the investment in crops.
He said that the former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy gave top priority for the agriculture with his farmer-friendly decisions and his son Jagan Mohan Reddy is continuing the legacy.
