Nellore: Ramraj Cotton to open its unit in Andhra Pradesh

Nellore: Founder and Chairman of Ramraj Cotton KR Nagarajan said that they are shortly going for Initial Public Offering (IPO). He said they had a turnover of around Rs 7 lakh in 1983 and now the figure reached to four digits.

Tollywood actor and Brand Ambassador of Ramraj Cotton Daggubati Venkatesh formally inaugurated the 100th brand outlet in the city on Monday. In this connection, Nagarajan addressed the media and said they are currently having 100 company direct showrooms and 47 franchisees across the country besides 12,500 retailers and MBOs. Their presence is in all States and Andhra Pradesh is having 15 showrooms, he added. Nagarajan stated they had prepared to ignite people to follow tradition and culture of India wearing Dhoti (Pancha) which gave sumptuous food for many weavers. He mentioned they are having tie-up with weavers of Ponduru and Bhattiprolu.

Nagarajan said they are considering starting a production unit in the State within a couple of years. He said, as part of charity activity, they are going to contact colleges and schools for promoting the product and also supporting their needs.

Now, their focus is on Tamil Nadu and would expand to Andhra Pradesh soon. CEO Ganapathi and others were present.
