Renewal of Academic Consultants contract demanded in Tirupati
Academic Consultants (ACs), who were terminated from services by the Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), and SFI activists took out a rally on the campus here on Wednesday.

Later, they met in-charge Vice-Chancellor (V-C) of the SVU JSV Prasad, who came to the varsity for the first time and submitted a memorandum to him.
SFI district secretary N Madhav Krishna brought to the notice of V-C that varsity Registrar and Rector have removed qualified 52 ACs despite holding PhDs on political recommendations.
Similarly, AISF functionaries have tried to meet the in-charge VC over ACs issue but police did not allow them to enter the administrative building. On the same issue, the TNSF, ABVP and other student union leaders have submitted representations toV-C.
