Kurnool: The sacrifices of our brave soldiers and police personnel could never be forgotten, said the Superintendent of Police Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli. As part of Police Commemoration Week celebrations, candle light rally was taken out and the SP flagged off the rally on Sunday.

The rally was started from Coles Memorial Junior College and culminated at District Police Office (DPO). Several police personnel, students and common public took part in the candle light rally.

Speaking the occasion, the SP thanked the students and people for making the Police Commemoration Week a grand success. Police Commemoration Day will be observed on 21st of October every year, said Dr Fakkeerappa.

He along with other police personnel and students lighted the candles at the Martyrs' stupa and remembered their great sacrifices. Similarly, the police personnel at Nandyal, Adoni division and other police stations across the district took out candle light rally.

Armed Reserve Additional SP Radha Krishna, DSPs Venkatramaiah, Vinod Kumar, Baba Fakruddin, Hanumathu, Yughandhar Babu, Venkatadri, Mahaboob Basha and Iliyaz Basha, CIs, Reserve Inspectors, Sub Inspectors, Reserve Sub Inspectors, Special Party police personnel, Police staff, youths, students, common public and auto drives participated in the candle light rally.
