Rs 1.43crores sanctioned for 18 BC boys welfare hostels
The district administration has sanctioned rs1.43crores for the construction of additional bathrooms, toilets, and other infrastructure facilities for BC social welfare hostels in the district.

According to the official sources as part of Palle Nidra programme on 20th August district collector, CH Harikiran had stayed in BC boys social welfare hostel at Vanipenta Mydukuru Mandal. During the interaction, students appealed the collector that they have been suffering a lot for attending natures call and bathing following not having sufficient facilities in the hostel.
Responding to their plea collector ordered the BC welfare hostel Ad to list out the hostels not having minimum amenities. Following his directions, officials have identified 18 hostels in the district of which he sanctioned Rs 1.43 crores for the purpose.
