Srisailam temple records Hundi collection of Rs 2.06 crore

Kurnool: The authorities of Srisailam temple have emptied the hundis of the temple on Tuesday and counted the donations deposited by the devotees. The counting was monitored by the Executive Officer (EO) KS Rama Rao.

The devotees have deposited around Rs 2,06,45,355 from October 28 to November 23 (26 days period). In addition to the cash, the devotees have also deposited 301 grams of gold and 4.250 kg of silver ornaments. Even 67 USA dollars, 60 Canada dollars, 10 SAU Riyals and 5 UAE dollars were also donated by the devotees who the sacred temple.

Executive Officer (EO) K S Rama Rao has said that the counting process was done under the surveillance of closed circuit (CC) cameras and amid tight security. The temple staff from all departments, devotees of Lord Siva and others participated in the counting process, the EO said.
