Student drowns in lake while taking selfie in Guntur district
In an incident, an intermediate student drowned while taking selfies at Guntur Canal near Chinakakani in Mangalagiri mandal of Guntur district. The deceased identified as B Vidyasagar (17).

According to details, Vidyasagar, a native of Dolas Nagar in Tadapalli mandal, has gone to the canal to celebrate the birthday of his friend Jagadish along with other seven friends on Sunday evening.
There, Vidyasagar got into the lake to take the selfie pictures. As it was deep, he began to drown. The other friends who were there tried to save him, but one among them Arun was also got trapped in the waters.
The locals who noticed this jumped into the canal and reused Arun and Vidyasagar washed away with the force of the water flow. Over receiving the information, the police and NDRF team reached the spot and conducting the search operations.
