Tirupati: Nine Coronavirus patients are cured and discharged on Saturday taking total discharges to 121 in Chittoor district so far and as a result the total number of active Covid cases have come down to 107.

Tirupati: Nine Coronavirus patients are cured and discharged on Saturday taking total discharges to 121 in Chittoor district so far and as a result the total number of active Covid cases have come down to 107. On Saturday three new patients were tested positive of which two are from Nagalapuram and one from Vijayapuram taking the district tally to 230.

The day witnessed nine discharges, with five from Ruia Hospital and four from Sri Padmavati Covid care centre. Among those discharged from Ruia Hospital, three were women while two were men. Superintendent Dr T Bharati gave away discharge certificates to them while Covid-19 nodal officer Dr S Subba Rao was also present.

Another four patients recovered at Sri Padmavati Covid care centre who include two children were also sent home. TUDA Secretary and centre's in charge S Lakshmi has gave away discharge summaries to them at Ruia hospital as they were brought there.
