Tirupati: Several hundreds of degree students have been facing problems due to negligent mistakes committed by the staff of Examination department of SV University here. It was learnt that many mistakes were crept in in varsity degree 1,3,5 semester examinations which commenced from November 16.
Due to negligence of varsity officials in discharging duties, students are suffering a lot. Instead of issuing hall-tickets early, the University officials have issued hall tickets up to the day of examinations causing anxiety among students appearing for examinations.
Added to that, officials issued hall tickets without photos of the students (candidate). On first day of Degree Exams on Saturday students found a number of mistakes in hall tickets. Totally 30,000 above students are writing the examination across the Chittoor district in SVU affiliated colleges.
Some students got hall tickets without mentioning of any degree and subjects. Some others received hall tickets with BSC degree instead of BA degree which they are pursuing. In addition, even in allotting examination centres, the officials did lot of blunders. They allotted centres to students 75 km away from their colleges. As per the university rules examination centre should be allotted to students within 15km only.
Officials allotted Chittoor as examination centre to Tirupati students, as well Tirupati as the examination centre for Chittoor students. Similarly, students from Piler were allotted Madanapalli as examination centre. These are only few examples for the officials' negligence. Students are seeking SV University higher officials intervention to sort out the examination related problems.
