Tirupati: The chances of resuming darshan in the Sri Venkateswara temple brightened with TTD executive officer indicating the commencement of darshan very soon while in a related development RTC regional manager also held a meeting with ghat road supervisors on the resumption of bus services for carrying pilgrims. The EO during a video conference held with senior officials from his chamber in the TTD administrative office here on Monday, Anil Singhal said that very soon there would be a high-level meeting with additional EO to discuss modalities for resuming darshan in the temple which remained suspended since March third week, in the event of the gradual relaxation of the lock down by the Centre.

The EO instructed officials to speed up the refunds to devotees who have cancelled the Arjita Seva tickets they booked for darshan of the Lord during the period March 14 to May 31, in the wake of the pandemic and the subsequent lock down.

Of the 2,50,503 devotees who sought refunds so far (which constitutes 45 per cent of the total bookings), refunds have been credited to 1,93,588 devotees' registered accounts.

Singhal also reviewed the advanced mobile app for SRIVANI Trust, paperless audit, PR management system, vigilance complaints and tracking system, e-Payments Integration, student admissions management system, lease rental management system, etc., Additional EO AV Dharma Reddy, JEO P Basant Kumar, FACAO O Balaji, IT head Sesha Reddy, PRO T Ravi and other participated.

Meanwhile, RTC regional manager T Chengal Reddy also held a meeting with officials and Tirumala ghat road traffic supervisors on resuming buses on the ghat road, here on Monday. The meet discussed in detail the steps to be taken to facilitate bus operations, duly following all the precautions like observing social distance and also initiating other steps to check spread of Corona virus.

Chengal Reddy wanted the officials and supervisor responsible for the ghat road operation of buses to be prepared with pucca plan for to resume bus operation on the ghat roads.
