In a ghastly road accident in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday morning a car collided with a stationary lorry at Kostha of Ranastalam Mandal.

In a ghastly road accident in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday morning a car collided with a stationary lorry at Kostha of Ranastalam mandal. Two people lost their lives in this accident and two others were injured severely. The accident happened when the victims were on their way to Palasa from Visakhapatnam. Four people, including the driver of the car, were identified as traveling.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the police arrived at the scene and took measures to clear the situation. The victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment and registered a case. The police team had concluded that the cause of the accident is due to over speed.

The victims were identified as either and sisters Delhishwar Rao and Vasantha of Chinna Narayanapuram village of Mandasa mandal. Family members were informed by the police about the accident and the bodies were recovered and taken to Srikakulam Government Hospital for postmortem.
