Vijayawada: Call to make Krishna district free from plastic
Krishna District Collector Mohammad Imtiaz has said the district administration has launched a massive awareness programme to check single-use plastic in the district and called upon the people to make the district free from plastic.

He participated in an awareness programme organized by Panchayat Raj department at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector said that he had started Krishnamma Suddhi programme in May 2019 and it evoked good response.
The district administration conducted massive awareness programmes at Rytu Bazars and other places creating awareness on banning single use plastic.
Joint Collector-2 Mohan Kumar said massive awareness programme on checking of single use plastic will be held in the district from February 7 to March 30. Officials from Panchayatraj and other departments attended the meeting.
