Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose would inaugurate the Continuous Operating Reference Station (CORS) at Jaggayyapet in Krishna district on February 18, said Joint Collector Dr. Madhavilata.

She reviewed the preparations for the inauguration of the CORS at her camp office here on Friday.

Dr. Madhavilata said that the government had already established such stations at Vijayawada Rural, Pedana, Tiruvuru in Krishna district and Pedavegi in West Godavari district.

She said that earlier, there used to be a survey number for 10 to 15 acres and now every sub division would have a survey number. Such base stations would be useful for conducting a satellite-based survey, she added.

Vijayawada Sub-Collector HM Dhyanachandra, DRO A Prasad, special deputy collector V Narayana Reddy, RDD (Survey) A Venakteswara Rao, AD K Surya Rao, Jaggayyapet tahsildar Ramakrishna Rao, survey inspectors A Prabhakar, Vayajaksha Rao, mandal surveyor Srinivasa Rao and others were present.
