Vijayawada: MSME industrialists should apply before June 30 for receiving incentives under the Restart policy, said District Collector A Md Imtiaz while addressing the committee meeting of the District Industries Promotion Council here on Friday.
The collector recalled that the government announced various concessions under Restart policy on May 19 by issuing a GO to the industries which were closed due to the lockdown caused by pandemic.
He said that as part of the concessions, the fixed charges in the power bills for the months of April, May and June were waived. Likewise, the payment of power bills of the heavy industries was deferred for three months. That means, the power bills of April, May and June could be paid in August, September and October.
The MSMEs would be provided capital of amount ranging from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 8 lakh at an interest rate of 6 to 8 per cent. For this purpose, the state government earmarked Rs 200 crore, the collector said. The government has decided to purchase 25 per cent of its requirements from the MSMEs.
The district collector informed the entrepreneurs to apply for the incentives on or before June 30 by visiting the website apindustries.gov.in by uploading their Aadhaar, PAN card, IEM Part-B for heavy industries and IEM Part-2 for Mega units. They should also upload the power bills from October 2019 to January 2020 and GST bills wherever necessary.
The collector expressed happiness over the payment of incentive arrears last month to the industries which have been pending for long. Out of the incentive arrears of Rs 904 crore to the MSMEs, Rs 450 crore has been paid in May and the rest of the amount would be paid on June 29.
The collector said that the single desk has received 4608 applications for establishing various industries and so far 4450 applications were cleared.
The committee has approved various concessions to 56 industries.
