Party senior leader Nadendla Manohar calls upon leaders, activists and sympathisers of Jana Sena to express support to party chief Pawan Kalyan’s one-day fast in Kakinada by their presence for the cause of farmers

Vijayawada: Jana Sena senior leader Nadendla Manohar exhorted people to express solidarity with the one-day hunger strike proposed by Jana Sena supremo Pawan Kalyan at Kakinada on December 12 demanding solution to the problems faced by farmers in the state.

He said in a statement here on Monday that the leaders, activists and sympathisers of Jana Sena should come to Kakinada to express support to party president.

"Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has totally completely forgotten to solve the problems of farmers of the twin Godavari districts which resulted in unprecedented problems to them," he said.

Pawan Kalyan visited the paddy purchase centres and found a number of irregularities there and in an attempt to find solution to their problems, he would be staging one-day hunger strike, the former Speaker said.

Manohar said that it was really pathetic to know that the RTC retired employee Sambi Reddy died while standing in queue for purchasing onions at Gudivada. "The incident should serve as an eye-opener for the YSRCP government to take remedial measures," he said.

The senior leader said that YSRCP government miserably failed in solving the crisis like onion prices, he added.
