Visakhapatnam: 460 meritorious students walk away with awards

Visakhapatnam: Dream big and work hard to realise it, Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao has said.
Participating as a chief guest at the APJ Abdul Kalam Vidya Puraskar, 2019 presentation ceremony at VUDA Children's Arena here on Monday, he said the State government was keen on extending its support to the needy students. About 460 meritorious students walked away with medals, tabs and appreciation letters in the district.
This apart, a cheque for Rs 92 lakh has been handed over to the officials concerned to distribute the cash prize among students who excelled in Class X, Intermediate, diploma courses, degree and PG across the district.
An impressive cultural show was enthralled the viewers performed by the students at the arena. Among others, VMRDA Chairman Dronamraju Srinvasa Rao, District Collector V. Vinay Chand, MLAs Karanam Dharmasri and Golla Baburao were present.
