Visakhapatnam: City Police Commissioner Ch Srikanth launched 'Dial Your Police Commissioner' programme to get close to the city people at the commissionerate here on Friday. The Commissioner was available over phone on 0891-2523408 and spoke to 20 callers during the programme held from 11 am to 12 pm.
After hearing public problems, the CP directed the authorities concerned to resolve their issues at the earliest. Through video conference, the Commissioner gave directions to take appropriate legal action in respective police stations.
Harassment of women, land disputes, husband and wife quarrels, civil cases, extortion of money in the garb of providing jobs and city traffic issues were some of the complaints received.
Speaking on the occasion, Srikanth said people can call the landline number and report the issues directly. Similarly, complaints with photos and videos can also be sent to WhatsApp number 9493336633. DCP (Crime) G Naganna, K Ananda Reddy, DCP-II, ADCP (SB) D Gangadharam, ADCP (Admin) MRK Raju were present.
