Visakhapatnam: Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao inaugurated the third All India South Zone Inter Polytechnic Sports and Games Meet (AISZIPSGM 19-20) at Behara Subhakar Polytechnic College here on Wednesday.
The Special Commission of Technical Education (AP) has permitted to conduct the meet at Polytechnic, Narava, Visakhapatnam. VMRDA Chairman Dronamraj Srinivasa Rao attended as guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Srinivasa Rao said the government has been focusing on the Skill development of youth, which will contribute for the national development. He congratulated the students who participated in sports. The Minister suggested that the students exercise regularly at least an hour a day.
VMRDA Chairman Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao stressed the need of sports. Chairman of Behara Group of Institutions Behara Bhaskar Rao thanked the Government and Department of Technical Education, for the opportunity given to hosting the event. A total of 386 students including 226 boys and 160 girls from Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh participated in various events of sports and games.
