After the Supreme Court verdict in the petition filed by Andhra Pradesh government challenging the state election commission's decision of postponement of elections, the TDP MLC has fumed at YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy asking whether he understand the Supreme Court's judgment. "The Supreme Court has proved that the system is greater than the individual, " Yanamala asserted.

Speaking to the media in Amaravati on Wednesday, he said that the Supreme Court's decision on the local elections would be the 43rd slap on the YSRCP government. He said he welcomed the Supreme Court ruling on the postponement of local bodies elections. He said that CM Jagan has to remember that the election process is entirely within the state election commission.

CM Jagan has to have up and should respect the constitutional laws before making any remarks. With the coronavirus fast spreading in the state, his can he make silly comments such as paracetamol and bleaching powder. Earlier on Wednesday Supreme Court refused to intervene in the decision of the Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission to postpone the local body elections in the state on account of Coronavirus outbreak.

The Court dismissed the petition of the state government seeking resuming the orders issued by SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar on Sunday in regard to postponement of local body elections. It started that it cannot intervene in the powers of the state election commission.
