Week-long training programme commences for srisailam temple staff

Kurnool: As the Central government gave its nod to reopen temples across the nation from June 8, the Endowments department in the state is getting ready to open temples across the state for darshan of devotees.
The authorities of Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swami Temple of Srisailam are also busy with preparations to re-open the doors of Lord Mallikarjuna Swami and Ammavaru to facilitate darshan to devotees.
On Thursday, the temple officials have started week-long training programme to educate the staff on prevention of Covid-19.
As many as 1,000 staff and officials including regular employees, contacts and outsourcing employees are working in the temple.
The temple executive officer KS Rama Rao said they were conducting awareness training programme for every wing separately and on first day they give training to all security department personnel.
He said that temple services will be resumed after getting permission from the Commissioner of Endowments department. The queue lines at the complexes will be marked with spaces to ensure adequate distance between the visiting pilgrims.
Limited number of devotees would be allowed into the temple, stated the EO.
As a precaution measure, the EO said that Covid tests have been conducted for the entire staff and results to all staff have yielded negative results.
No one had such virus symptoms and all temple staff including priests are in healthy state, he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy District Medical and Health officer Dr M Srinivasa Rao, Srisailam Primary Health Centre Medical Officer Dr M Somasekharaiah, temple Medical Officer Dr Siva Prakash have explained the steps of precautions to be taken to curb spreading of Covid-19.
