Srikakulam: Women voters outnumber men in four assembly segments-- Itchapuram, Palasa, Srikakulam and Palakonda, out of 10 in Srikakulam district. As per latest voters list released by officials, the total voters in the district are 21,75,176 including 10,88, 410 male and 10,86,493 female voters and 273 transgenders.

TDP candidates in these segments are hoping on women as the TDP government provided Rs 20,000 as financial aid to each woman who is member in self-help group (SHG) under Pasupu-Kunkuma scheme. At the same time, YSRCP candidates in these four segments are promising the women that

YSRC chief Jaganmohan Reddy would waive loans of SHG women completely if he was voted to power.In Itchapuram segment, total votes are 2,46,228 including 1,21,224 male, 1,24,984 female and 20 transgenders. Here female voters are 3,760 more than male voters. In Palasa, the total voters are 2,04,109 of them male 1,00,875 and 1,03,185 female and 49 transgenders.

Here women voters are 2,310 more than males. The Srikakulam segment has 2,55,177 voters including 1, 26, 965 male, 1,28,170 female and 42 transgenders. In this segment women voters are 1,195 more than males. In Palakonda segment, total voters are 1,84,414 of them male voters are 90,922, female 93, 481 and transgenders are 11.

Here also women voters are 2,559 more than males. "We are confident that Pasupu-Kunkuma scheme launched by the TDP will fetch votes for the party," said Itchapuram, Palasa, Srikakulam, Palakonda TDP candidates B Ashok, G Sirisha, G Laxmidevi and N Jaya Krishna.

Itchapuram, Palasa, Srikakulam, Palakonda YSRCP candidates P Sai Raj, S .Appala Raju, D Prasada Rao, V Kalavathi expressed confidence that women would vote for Jaganmohan Reddy as he promised to completely waive their SHG loans.
