Tirupati: Tension prevailed for some time when YSRCP workers damaged the car of Chandragiri TDP candidate Pulivarthi Nani at Thummalagunta village in Chandragiri constituency at 7 pm on Thursday. Nani's wife P Sudha Reddy, who was present in the car, came to the polling booth after completion of the scheduled time.
With the sudden attack on car by YSRCP activists, Sudha got down from the car and took the shelter in a nearby apartment. On receiving the information, Tirupati Urban SP KKN Anburajan rushed to the spot along with his special force and cleared the mob. Later, police sent Sudha to her village with full police escort.
