That Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a pitch for Made in India products during the elections is no news. Now, he has made an even stronger pitch for people to not only start substituting foreign brands with Indian brands but also going vocal about them by endorsing them. Taking a leaf out of popular imported brands abroad, PM Modi during his recent address to the nation went on to tell Indians how important for us to substitute imported products with desi ones and at the same time promote it like the other countries. He said word of mouth will work best when it comes to promoting Made in India products.

So, if you are one of those convinced by Modi's argument that Indian companies should get preference over foreign ones when it comes to buying but wondering what are the real substitutes like. Here's a list of desi products made in India which could be used instead of foreign brands.

The Dairy industry is perhaps where our made in India products rule. The scale at which the sector has grown in India is amazing.
