After Shahid Kapoor working on Kabir Singh, which is a remake of Arjun Reddy, south Indian actor Dhruv Vikram, son of Chiyaan Vikram, along with Banita Sandhu will make his debut with Adithya Varma. An official Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy.
The movie also stars Priya Anand in the leading role. The film is helmed by Gireesaaya and the first official teaser for the film will be out on Sunday, 16th June 2019.
Banita Sandhu dropped the first look on her social media. She captioned it, "1st teaser out this Sunday #AdithyaVarma @DhruvVikram8 @e4echennai @dop007 @E4Emovies"
The film was originally directed by Bala under the title Varma (later amended to Varmaa) and shot between March and September 2018; however, in February 2019, due to creative differences with Bala, E4 Entertainment decided to re-launch it with a new cast and crew; only Dhruv and music director Radhan were retained.
The new version, titled Adithya Varma, it is scheduled to be released in June 2019.
