Bigil, directed by Atlee has now entered its second week without any hurdles. The first week collections were impressive given that it was a holiday weekend, thanks to diwali. The mixed talk and negative controversies have done little to affect Bigil collections at the box office.

The film featured Vijay and Nayanthara in the lead roles and both their performances have received praises from the audience. Fans are going ga ga over the movie and social media is flooded with tweets about the movie and Vijay's performance.

Now, about Bigil collections. The film has performed well and done decent business at the box office in its first week. As per trade analysts, Bigil collected 5.26 crores in the first weekend at the Chennai box office. The total collections for first week is said to be a whopping 8.94 crores.

Weekend: 5.26 crores

Mon: 1.72 crores

Tues: 0.84 crores

Wed: 0.58 crores

Thur: 0.53 crores

Total: 8.93 crores

These collections are from Chennai alone so one can well imagine how much the movie would have collected worldwide. The film is doing well in international markets too.

As on Oct 31, Bigil had collected $4980 at the US box office and $5020 at the Australian box office. The Vijay is expected to keep the momentum going in the second week too. The film is facing tough competition from Karti's Khaidi which has opened to positive reviews.
