All the eyes are currently on the new movie of Ram Gopal Varma titled as a 'Lakshmi's NTR.' Billed to be the biopic on NTR, RGV is going to showcase the life of NTR after the entry of Lakshmi Parvathi. Though RGV has made the film with all new actors like P Vijay Kumar, Yagna Shetty, Sritej, etc., he has left no stone unturned in grabbing the attention with controversies. After creating a huge sensation on social media with the theatrical trailers, the movie produced by Rakesh Reddy and Deepthi Balagiri made it into the screens today. Let's check out the review of the film.

Story:

'Lakshmi's NTR' will mostly have the scenes that are already known to most of the people. In 1989 after losing power, NTR (Vijay Kumar) led a solitary and hopeless life. Then enters Lakshmi Parvathi (Yagna Shetty) to write the autobiography of NTR. But soon, rumours come out that something is cooking between them. Later, at the event of 'Major Chandrakanth' movie, NTR announces that he is going to marry Lakshmi Parvathi. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the son-in-law of NTR, joins hands with a media person, Babu Rao and starts wrong rumours about Lakshmi Parvathi. In 1994, NTR campaigned with his wife, Lakshmi Parvathi and got back into the power. Things that happened after that, how CBN backstabbed NTR and steals the CM chair, how NTR died forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

P Vijay Kumar as NT Rama Rao has delivered an energetic performance. He has gone under the skin of the character and brought NTR back to life. It is a delight to watch him on the silver screens. Yagna Shetty as Lakshmi Parvathi did her best. She succeeded in imitating the body language, dialogue delivery, etc. like Lakshmi Parvathi and except for the voice, everything is okay. Sritej as Nara Chandrababu Naidu will grab the attention. He is an eye-feast as he has portrayed a challenging role, but he has pulled it off effortlessly well. Aningi Rajasekhar as Rama Subba Reddy also did his best. The rest of the characters also made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:

Production values by Rakesh Reddy and Deepthi Balagiri are very rich. It is evident that the makers have invested decent amounts and haven't compromised in terms of quality. Music by Kalyani is a plus point for this film. His catchy BGM is impressive. Cinematographer Rammy did a good job. Editing by Kamal R is clean and neat. The run time is crisp.

Verdict:

Ram Gopal Varma has prepared an exciting script narrating the life of NTR after the entry of Lakshmi Parvathy. He has succeeded in touching most of the controversial elements in NTR's life. The way he narrated the story is perfect and especially in the second half, he has handled the emotions well. The first half is a bit boring as it is filled with conversations between Aged NTR and Lakshmi Parvati and the story runs very slow. But, the pace will get increased in the second half. Notably, the 'Vennupotu' episodes will keep the audience engaged. But again, the last 30 minutes of the film is boring. Lakshmi Parvathi is shown as a perfect human being and a victim, whereas Chandrababu Naidu and NTR's family members are shown in bad light. The epilogue shows the footage of NTR'S funeral. Overall, the movie is a one-watch, and RGV has made a decent movie after a long time.
