Ramya as charismatic Jayalalithaa

Although a few films on former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu have been announced, ace director Gautam Menon unveiled the poster of his Web series 'Queen' on legendary actress-turned-politician with Ramya Krishna playing the iconic role on Saturday.

The glam diva of the 1990s, Ramya Krishna began to do author-backed roles in Telugu films. Balancing glamour and artistic roles, she extended her career in T-town.

With her riveting performance as Sivagami in 'Baahubali' franchise, she almost re-launched her career.

But now, it looks like she has bagged another plum role of playing J Jayalalithaa on screen to showcase her immense acting talent. The web series of 10 episodes is being directed by Gowtham Menon.

The series is nothing but the biopic of Tamil actress and former CM Jayalalitha, and Ramya Krishna stars in the role of the charismatic leader. With such a big role in the kitty, surely one knows how Ramya is going to nail it once again.

The biographic web series will focus on Jaya's life from school to college to films to MGR to her first time becoming a Chief Minister.

While five episodes are directed by Gowtham Menon, three are directed by another director Prasath and they will be jointly directing two episodes. Great going Ramya!
