The news of Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja at an young age of 39 has sent shockwaves in the industry. Chiru Sarja passed away this evening after experiencing breathing difficulties. He was taken to Apollo Hospital where he breathed his last and as per hospital sources his covid samples which were tested were negative. Doctors said he died of a heart attack.

As news of Chiru Sarja's death broke, condolences from celebrities and politicians across the industry came pouring in. The actor enjoyed a huge fan following and fans thronged Chiru Sarja's residence in Basavanagudi to pay their last respects. Fans in large numbers wearing face masks were seen rushing to the residence of the departed soul to get a final glimpse of their idol.

Chiranjeevi Sarja is the nephew of Kollywood actor Arjun Sarja and had worked in over 22 movies.

The actor came from a family of actors. While his uncle Arjun was an actor, Arjun Sarja's father Shakthi Prasad too was a Kannada villain. Arjun Sarja's father-in-law and wife too are actors.

Chiru was married to Meghana Raj, son of senior Kannada actors Pramila Joshayi and Sundar Raj. The duo had tied the knot only two years ago.Chirajeevi was seen in Sinnga, Amma I Love You, Samhaara, Chirru and Ajith among other movies. Even cricketer Anil Kumble, Telugu actor Allu Sirish mourned the demise of the young Kannada actor.

Senior Kannada actor and Crazy Star Ravichandran too came to Chiru's residence to pay final respects.

The last rites of Chiranjeevi Sarja will be held at Dhruva Sarja guest house in Kanakapura, Bengaluru on Monday. Arjun Sarja drove down from Chennai along with his wife and daughters to pay his last respects to his nephew.
