Buzz: Anushka-Venky In Dhanush's Asuran Telugu Remake

Dhanush K Raja is thrilled by the response his latest release Asuran got from the audience. The film is not only being streamed on Amazon prime video but a few theatres in Tamil Nadu are still showing the movie. Asuran hit theatres in October and box office collections were impressive too.

The latest buzz is Venky will reprise Dhanush's role in the Telugu remake of Asuran. Now, this is a known fact.

Another interesting unknown fact that might interest Tollywood fans is that Anushka will play a key role in the movie. Earlier there were reports that Sriya Saran was being considered to play the female lead opposite Venky. But now, there are strong rumours that Anushka Shetty is being approached by the makers to be a part of this much acclaimed film. Now, it remains to be seen if Anushka will say yes.

Asuran featured Manju Warrier as female lead. The film was based on a book Vekkai authored by Poomani.

The Telugu version of Asuran is reportedly being produced by Suresh Productions while Hanu Raghavapudi is likely to direct it.
