Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 is one of the most anticipated movies as the first instalment of the franchise was a runaway hit. The sequel has raised expectations. The crew was to fly to China for a special schedule which was put off due to the threat of the ongoing Covid-19 virus.
Recently, three crew members of Indian 2 were killed on the sets which have set off a debate on the safety of those working in the Tamil film industry. Kamal Haasan after condoling the deaths of those who lost their lives, the actor questioned the producers (Lyca Production) on the safety of crew members on the sets. He also asked them if there were any precautions taken to prevent such tragedies and if there was insurance in place to take care of the families of members who lost their lives.
Lyca Productions is furious with the way the Kollywood Ulaganayagan has reacted. In fact, Lyca has hit back saying that Kamal too was in total control of the way things were operated on the sets and must take collective responsibility. The duo has traded barbs on social media, playing the blame game.
While Kamal has raised concerns over employee safety, Lyca too has released an open letter holding him equally responsible. This has turned the issue into a murky affair. Have a look at what the production house posted on their social media handle on Instagram.
