The actor finished the shoot for his debut film Uppena and is waiting for the release of the same. The makers kick-started the promotions of the film already and looking forward to a big success.
But the trade is not positive about the film and there are a lot of speculations around the film. Although a big production house like Mythri Movie Makers bankrolled the film, the buzz is that they did not expect the film's budget going out of control. The makers initially wanted to complete the film in 10 crores, which they thought is reasonable but much to their shock, the film got completed in 25 crores which is really very high.
The producers are now worrying if they could get their investment back. With a new heroine on board, there is no element in the film that could pull the crowds to the theatres, unless it has a solid story. Sukumar's former associate Buchi Babu makes his debut as a director with Uppena.
