Veteran and versatile filmmaker 'Sravanthi' Ravikishore is one of the tasteful producers in Telugu cinema
Veteran and versatile filmmaker 'Sravanthi' Ravikishore is one of the tasteful producers in Telugu cinema. Since debuting with 'Ladies Tailor' in 1986, he has made 38 films so far. He is now coming with a film that is very close to his heart.
The senior producer has bankrolled a rural drama titled 'Kida' which is being released in Telugu as 'Deepavali'. The film is directed by RA Venkat and has Poo Ramu, Kali Venkat and others in the lead roles. It is set for theatrical debut on the 11th of November, on the occasion of Deepavali.
‘Ustaad’ Ram Pothineni is set to unveil the trailer for the film on the 26th of this month and the makers have unveiled an announcement poster to publicize the same. This should give the trailer a wide reach with RaPo brand associating with it. He will unveil the trailer through his Twitter handle.
'Deepavali’ is a rural drama that revolves around a grandfather, his grandson, and a goat. 'Sravanthi' Ravikishore loved the story right from the outset and decided to produce it and that's how the film was brought to life.
Earlier, Dil Raju made a grounded rural drama - Balagam and won appreciation along with box office returns. Now, Ravikishore is anticipating a similar reception for 'Deepavali'.
The film has already received praise from the audience and critics at National and International film festivals, receiving standing ovation at the International Film Festival of India, Goa and the 20th Chennai International Film Festival where it won Best Film and Best Actor awards. Officially selected for Indian Panorama, Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne and the Jagran Film Festival, this film has been receiving recognition and acclaim for all sectors of audience across the world in the last six months.
