Fruit, truly, is the perfect food and our digestive system has to do almost nothing to break it down. So, grab your plate and add these fruit combinations to your breakfast daily.

Fresh fruit punch

Ingredients:

2 cup seeded watermelon cubes

1 cup pineapple cubes

1 cup green grapes – remove seeds if any

2 cup chilled apple Juice

10-12 ice cubes

1tsp sugar

4 tbsp cream

Method:

Combine the fruits in a bowl, pour apple juice over and let it chill in the refrigerator.

At the serving time, blend fruits in a mixer till it smoothens

Add cream and sugar and blend again

Pour into glasses and ice and serve chilled.

Papaya honey smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup chopped papaya; l 1/2 cup cold milk

1 cup thick yoghurt;

1/2 cup vanilla ice cream

1 tbsp honey;

A few strands saffron soaked in 1 tbsp of warm milk

Method:

Put papaya and milk in the blender and blend till it smoothens

Add all the remaining ingredients and blend until thick and frothy; v Serve cold
