The State government feels that the rural landscape of Andhra Pradesh will change in the coming days with 10,641 Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) serving the farmers at village level from supplying seeds to marketing and also procuring the agricultural produce. Janata Bazars and English medium schools along with village secretariats are going to be the hub of activity in rural areas.

The Chief Minister, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who completes 48 years on Monday is all set to travel the extra mile for creating a welfare state. Being a farmer-friendly government, it had focussed in ensuring that the farmers get input subsidy, crop insurance, Rythu Bharosa in three instalments with enhanced amount, Minimum Support Price and soft loans which strengthens agriculture sector and the Market Stabilisation Fund to take care of price fluctuations. Farmers could not have asked for more, it feels.

Jagan's initiative of YSR Cheyutha and YSR Aasara to empower women (45-60 years) belonging to the weaker sections has gained him accolades from the masses.

Apart from the welfare activities, he has taken important decisions like reverse tendering and appointing a Commission for Judicial Preview, putting Lok Ayukta in place, decentralisation of administration with Visakhapatnam as the Executive Capital, Amaravati the Legislative Capital, and Kurnool the Judicial Capital which has made the opposition parties feel jittery about their existence. Jagan had taken decision for decentralisation of administration after learning a lesson taught by Hyderabad, and felt that all development should not be concentrated at one place.

He has displayed his entrepreneurship skills in dairy, grocery, and other chosen fields which has got the back up of banks, supported by giant companies like AMUL, Procter and Gamble, ITC, Allana Group, Reliance among others, is a reflection of his commitment to uplift the poor economically and socially. As testimony for political empowerment, he has provided 50 per cent reservation for women and weaker sections in nominated posts and nominated works.

The hallmark of Jagan Mohan Reddy's government is determination and stubbornness in carrying out the governance with transparency and has been rolling out welfare schemes, more than what was promised in the manifesto.
