Investiture ceremony of Ajay Kumar Singh, General Manager South Western Railway as patron, of Bharat Scouts and Guides was conducted in a ceremonial function at Hubballi on Saturday.
Hyderabad: Investiture ceremony of Ajay Kumar Singh, General Manager South Western Railway as patron, of Bharat Scouts and Guides was conducted in a ceremonial function at Hubballi on Saturday.
In the ceremony Sujata Singh, President South Western Railway Womens Welfare Organisation; B B Singh , Additional General Manager, South Western Railway were investitures / installed as vice patron and Shiv Raj Singh was installed as State Chief Commissioner of South Western Railway .
On this occasion Ajay Kumar Singh said, that Scouting and Guiding in South Western Railway has an excellent record over the years and Scouts and Guides shall revive the enthusiasm among the members and shall perform even better in coming times.
He urged Scouts and Guides to come forward and assist Railway Administration in carrying out various awareness programmes and also take active part in Swatch Bharat activities. He said that anything great can be achieved only with enthusiasm. He appreciated the uplifting of Scouts and Guides Headquarters done in last one month. He further said that more than rituals, concentration shall be on spirit of scouting and focused work shall be done.
Principal Chief Engineer A K Agrawal, State Commissioner , Scouts Jaya Kumar and State Commissioner, Guides Dr Jamuna, Hubli Division Chief Scouts Commissioner and Divisional Railway Manager Rajesh Mohan, Other Officers, staff and members of Bharat Scouts and Guides were also present on this occasion. Members of Scouts and Guides performed in the cultural programme that followed installation Ceremony.
