Bengaluru: Two of the Congress party's senior leaders, Dr G Parameshwara and M B Patil have expressed their disappointment in the way the party conducts itself before the assembly elections. The problem arose when the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Manifesto Committee Chairman and the KPCC Campaign Committee chief thought that certain leaders of the party are acting on their own accord.

Recently, the news was out that the KPCC Manifesto Committee Chairman, G Parameshwara resigned from the committee. Sources claimed that Parameshwara was disappointed that few "big" leaders of Congress took unilateral decisions which caused Parameshwara to feel ignored.

It is also believed that certain announcements of the manifesto during the Prajadhwani Yatra were made without the consultation of Dr. G Parameshwara. This is when, he decided to resign from the committee.

On the other hand, M B Patil, the chief of KPCC Campaign Committee is unhappy with few party leaders. Despite being the head of the campaign committee, he has not received enough mileage from the Prajadhwani Yatra.

Reportedly, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary, Randeep Singh Surjewala had visited Dr. Parameshwara at his residence and tried to convince him into taking up the post in the Manifesto Committee. At this crucial time when Congress is yet to release the first list of candidates for the party, such developments is certain to cost the party in the upcoming assembly elections.
