Many of them got baffled and confused looking at the title, isn't it? Yes… Well, Sleep Divorce is completely different from the normal divorce… It will have no arguments or no petitions. It neither holds the custody of cases of kids or nothing to do with prenuptial agreements.

Well, we will look into Carson Daly's 'Sleep Divorce' case who took this type of divorce in last September… He said that, he and his wife have opted for 'Sleep Divorce' and mutually took this decision when they are renovating their house. According to a study made by 'Mattress Clarity' 3,000 Americans were surveyed and out of which 31% of them opted up for a sleep divorce.

Another study which researched the sleep divorce benefits doled out that, 19% of Americans blame their partners for poor sleep and this is making them go for this type of divorce. It makes the partners sleep separately and thus one can have a good night's sleep. It also reduces the mental tension and stress, making the couples stay in the same house but sleep separately.

There is nothing to stress your minds… A couple who opts for a 'Sleep Divorce' can sleep separately on different beds in the same room or can have good night's sleep in separate rooms as well.

Well, Dr. Dean, also mentioned a couple of benefits of 'Sleep Divorce':

• Sound sleep

• Healthy sleep cycle by making the people experience only a few disturbances in the middle of the night.

She also doles out that, "Improved sleep quality allows the brain to repair and recharge, and lowers stress levels. It also decreases daytime tiredness; improves mood, endurance, and focus; and improves brain functionality as a whole. This is likely to improve relationships not just with your significant other but with friends, co-workers, etc."

She also advised couples who are seeking 'Sleep Divorce' to "Make sure your bedroom is set up for quality sleep,".

This simply means one need to make their bedroom free from laptops, computers and other electronic devices and ensuring the bedroom is dark and quiet, along with maintaining a room temperature of between 60 and 67 degrees Fahrenheit.
