All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) staged a protest in front of ESI Hospital here on Monday, demanding payment of pending salaries to workers.
Nacharam: All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) staged a protest in front of ESI Hospital here on Monday, demanding payment of pending salaries to workers. AITUC state secretary M Narasimha said the officials concerned were turning deaf ear to their problems in spite of them making several rounds to them.
"Outsourcing workers including sanitation workers, security, technicians and nursing staff boycotted their duty to take part in the protest. The workers are facing hardships for want of salaries for five months now.
The officials should take responsibility if patients face inconvenience because of the protest," he added. He threatened to continue the protest until they get pending salaries. ESI Branch leaders Dhana Ram, Bhaskar, Mary, Priya, Padmavathi and others were present.
