Patancheru: The Cheyuta Charitable Trust will take up more social service activities, said Asian Paints Industries Manager Durga Prasad and AITUC district president Narsimha Reddy here on Wednesday.

Speaking at an event in the Open Channel Programme, they said that the managements and workers had jointly set up the trust in 2007. Durga Prasad said during the last 12 years, the trust has been in the forefront in taking up service activities for the benefit of poor students and physically-challenged persons.

Trust president Raghupati Reddy, general secretary Tirupati Reddy and Durga Prasad distributed almirahs and washing machines, three-wheeler cycles and education stationery, among other items, worth Rs 2.5 lakh.

Asian Paints representatives Prashanth, Srijeeth, Gnana Devine Charitable Trust organisers, and leaders of various trade unions were present on the occasion.
