Lakdikapul: Rangareddy district Congress leaders staged protest, in response to the call given by PCC president Uttam Kumar, condemning the state government's decision to hike RTC charges, here at Rangareddy district collectorate on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Congress Rangareddy district president Challa Narsimha Reddy condemned the hike in RTC prices, which would impose a burden for Rs 1,000 crore of state public. Lambasting the state CM KCR for the decision, he alleged that CM KCR had been handing over RTC properties to his followers.
Refuting the CM's claim of developing the state through several welfare schemes, he alleged that the CM was developing his own family and done nothing for people. He warned that the CM may have to face public anger if he continues with his dictatorial attitude.
Later, Congress leaders submitted a memorandum to the district collector in this regard. Congress official spokesperson Sama Rammohan Reddy, Congress leaders Shabeena Begum, Gopal Reddy, Bhaskar Reddy, Janakiram, Krishna Naik, Lakshmachari and others participated in the protest.
