Hyderabad: BC welfare association national president R Krishnaiah on Monday demanded that the State government hold a detailed inquiry with a sitting judge on the recent Intermediate results fiasco.

Speaking to media persons here, Krishnaiah alleged that the State government had risked the lives of lakhs of Intermediate students and demanded compensation of Rs 1 crore to the families of victims. He also alleged that those who did not even clear Class X were being made cabinet ministers after extracting Rs 200 crore for the minister's post.

Krishnaiah also alleged that the State government was hatching plans to dilute the fee reimbursement scheme. Reminding that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao promised to close all the colleges which did not maintain quality before becoming the CM, he alleged that the KCR now permitted the private colleges to charge more fee from poor students.
