Musheerabad: A fire struck at a hostel in SBI Colony, which comes under Gandhinagar police station, at around 3 am in the morning of Sunday. The accident occurred on the first floor of the building, but no loss of life was reported as hostel students saw the fire in time and escaped from the spot.
Two fire engines reached the spot at around 4 am and were able to douse the fire before 10 am. Police are investigating the probable cause of the accident.
On receiving information about the fire accident, local MLA Muta Gopal rushed to the spot and made enquiries about the cause of the fire and sought all details. The MLA was accompanied by local leaders Muta Jaisimha, Y Srinivas, Satyanarayana, Erram Srinivas Gupta and others.
