Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday took out a roadshow in Seri Lingampally, Kukatpally, Charminar. He addressed public gatherings at Alwyn colony, Lal Darwaza of Old City where he said that he would change the name of Hyderabad if people support the party in the upcoming GHMC election.
"Some asked me if Hyderabad can be renamed as Bhagyanagar and I told them it is possible as they renamed Faizabad as Ayodhya and Allahabad as Prayagraj after BJP came to power in UP," Adityanath said.
Reacting to the comments, Asaduddin Owaisi took a dig at Yogi Adityanath while addressing a rally saying that Hyderabad's name will remain unchanged but the ones who speak about changing it, will change their names.
